Milford Lee Terry, 75, Windsor, MO, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the Medicalodge of Butler in Butler, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.
Milford was born December 16, 1933 in El Dorado Springs, MO, the son of Jessie McKinley and Julia Lucille (Lacy) Terry. Milford had lived in Windsor, MO since 1994. He had worked for the Harrisonville Police Department during the late 1950's and early 1960's. He then moved to Clinton, MO where he managed the Elite Laundry for several years until he retired in the early 1980's.
Milford loved to fish and help his fellow man. He never married. He loved animals and had many pets over the years. He will always be remembered by Windsor residents, riding his three-wheeler bicycle around the town. He always had a smile and great stories to tell.
Milford was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Henry Terry. He is survived by a sister, Lois Cumpton of Butler, MO; nieces, Carman Cumpton, Nevada, MO, Anita Pryor, Springfield, MO and Bea Cooper, Windsor, MO; two uncles, Marvin C. Lacy, Harrisonville, MO and Urless Lacy, Belton, MO; two great-nieces, Mary Ann Morrison, Wichita, KS and Karen Daugherty, Pleasant Hill, MO and 11 great nieces and nephews.
