Mildred Eula Middaugh, 82 of Harrisonville, MO, died Monday, October 30, 2006 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville. Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, MO, officiated by Rev. Charles Sutton, Harrisonville, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Casketbearers were Ed Wright, Calvin Wright, Les Middaugh and Clay Clevenger. Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Mildred was born April 25, 1924 in Brownington, MO, the daughter of Clarence "C.B." and Anna (Payne) Wright. She married Franklin B. Middaugh on January 23, 1943. Mildred was formerly a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Cleveland, MO and belonged to the Antioch Southern Baptist Church in Harrisonville. She worked in the men's clothing department at Wal-Mart in Belton, MO and especially enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bill Wright and Robert Wright, sisters, Pauline Shippy, Winnie Hart, Betty York and Patsy Kinney and her husband, Franklin Middaugh, on December 24, 1985. Mildred is survived by her sons, Tom Middaugh and his wife Judy, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tim Middaugh, Peculiar, MO; a sister, Peggy Sue Jamison, Wellsville, Kansas and two brothers, Edgar Lee Wright and his wife, Dixie, Garden City, MO, and Calvin Wright and his wife, Mev, Independence, MO. Mildred is also survived by two grandchildren, Tiffany Casteel and Chad Middaugh and three great-grandchildren.
