Mildred Inez Davis, 77, Peculiar, MO died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Benchmark Healthcare of Harrisonville in Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 22 at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Peculiar, MO.

Mildred was born July 16, 1934 in Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of Harvey Allen and Ida Marie (Lucas) Reynolds. She was raised in Harrisonville and had lived in Peculiar since 1953.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peculiar and a 50-year member of the Bayard Chapter No. 179, Order of Eastern Star in Harrisonville. Mildred worked as a dietician for the Raymore Peculiar High School for 15 years before retiring in 1995.


Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard, on November 12, 2001.
She is survived by four sons, Larry Davis, Peculiar, MO, Allen Davis, Peculiar, MO, Richard Davis, Kearney, MO and Gary Davis of St. Joseph, MO; two brothers, Henry Reynolds, Brighton, CO and Jerry Reynolds, Harrisonville, MO; four sisters, Betty Reynolds, Harrisonville, MO; Anna Lovedahl, Peoria, AZ, Helen Wickander, Glendale, AZ and Mary Jane Reynolds, Harrisonville, MO; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
