Obituary
Mila N. Lawrence, 77, Lee's Summit, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Mila was born December 2, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Harvey J. and Pearl O. (Jones) Chapman. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and later moved to Independence, Missouri before moving to Lee's Summit in 2003. She married Paul Dean Lawrence in 1964.
Mila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul, on October 9, 2008 and one brother, H. Jack Chapman. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Snowden and her husband, Lyn, Lee's Summit, Missouri; a niece, Anne Busch, Overland Park, Kansas; a nephew, Tom Chapman, San Antonio, Texas and one grandchild, Shawn Snowden.
