Michael "Mike" D. Scott Adair, 41, Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at his home in Harrisonville.  Private family services were held.

Mike was born March 10, 1980 in Denver, Colorado.  He was a 1999 graduate of Harrisonville High School and was a life-long resident of Harrisonville. Mike married Kristine Marie Grooms on November 10, 2001.

Mike graduated from the Western Missouri Regional Police Academy in Independence, MO and had worked for the Harrisonville Police Department, Cass County Sheriff's Office, and Lake Winnebago Police Department, before retiring in 2011.

Mike loved coaching and watching his sons in football and wrestling.  He enjoyed being at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he spent time on the boat and barbequing.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Albert Howland (Heather); his mother, Brandy Farr (Trent); his grandparents, Earl and Betty Spangler; and father-in-law, Bob Kalwei.  He is survived by his wife, Kristi, and two sons, Kage and Owen, all of the home;  grandparents, Larry and Susie Howland; mother-in-law, Sue Kalwei; brother, Shane Burgess; sisters-in-law, Kerry Uptergrove (Brant) and Angela Cromes (Steve); and brother-in-law, Tony Kalwei (Wendy).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville High School football program or wrestling program.  Checks can be made payable to Harrisonville High School Athletics with "Adair" in the memo line, and mailed to HHS Athletics Dept., 1504 E Elm Street, Harrisonville, MO 64701.
