Michael "Mike" George Kingman, Jr., 36, Grain Valley, MO, died Saturday, July 4, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9 at the chapel.
Mike was born June 4, 1973 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Michael George and Karen (Bright) Kingman. He grew up in the south Kansas City, Missouri area and was a 1991 graduate of Ruskin High School.
Mike worked as a locksmith by trade. He loved Nikki's kids as if they were his own and enjoyed fishing and camping with them.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Kingman and his stepdad, Mike Kenagy. He is survived by his father, Michael Kingman of Winston-Salem, NC and his wife, Wanda; his mother, Karen Kenagy of Pleasant Hill, MO; one brother, Chris Kingman and his wife, Randi of Harrisonville, MO; his fiancée, Nikki Brown of Grain Valley, MO and her children, Coral, Calista, Isaiah and Jayden Castillo; one step-sister, Demi Kenagy of Overland Park, KS; two step-brothers, Jeremy Kenagy and Jason Kenagy, both of Overland Park, KS; three nieces, Britney, Kylee and Mariah Kingman and two dogs, Mason and Katie and one cat, Buster.
