Michael Ryan King, 76, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at St. Luke's East in Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, with a visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Princeton, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blood Cancer Society (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).
Mike was born on October 11, 1949, the son of June (Choate) Callahan and Wallace (Merle) King. He began working at General Motors-Fairfax in January 1976 and retired in January 2007. Mike married Andrea Dee Kuhns on September 18, 1970.
Mike was an avid pool player and enjoyed golfing with his friends. He loved working on and cruising his 1965 Plymouth Satellite convertible. Having an extensive friend group, with friendships ranging from his teenage years to current day; he enjoyed staying in contact and spending time with them all. He also loved vacationing, including spending time with his family at his Branson, MO, home and spending time at the beach. His very favorite thing to do was to spend time with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace (Merle) King and June Callahan; brothers: Marion (Pat) Wright, Gary Wright, Carl Wright, Dickie King, and Jeff King; sister, Shirley King; step-brothers: Darryl Inness, Forrest Inness, Jr, and Kevin Inness; step-sister, Barbara Alford; father-in-law, Fred Kuhns; mother-in-law, Maxine Kuhns; and brother-in-law, Rusty Kuhns. He is survived by his wife, of the home, Andrea King; daughters: Tiffany King, Jennifer (Rod) Stitt, and Rebecca King; grandchildren: Devon, Hannah, Emily, Sarah, Molly, and Dylan; and great-grandchildren: Mason, Parker, Lyla, and Ivry. He is also survived by his sisters: Lynn (Mike) Hopkins and Cheryl Inness; stepsisters: Vicki (Larry) Failor and Beverly King; his sister-in-law, Janie Henry; brother-in-law, Mark (Tina) Kuhns; and numerous nieces and nephews.
