Michael Steven Cunningham, 55, Drexel, MO, died Friday, January 26, 2018. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO with burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in Michael's name.

Michael was born October 31, 1962 in Hammond, IN, He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Michael graduated from the electrical program for ABC and was a union electrician. He was a member of the IBEW Local #124.

Michael loved the outdoors and his horses. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting and collecting arrow heads, and his Harley motorcycle. He was a fun-loving person with an infectious laugh. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Cunningham. He is survived by two daughters, Aimee Spence (Douglas), Drexel, MO and Alisa Cunningham (Katee), Shawnee, KS; his first love, and the mother of his beloved daughters, Melanie Cunningham, Shawnee, KS; his parents Wayne and Barbara Hunter, Harrison, AR; son, David Justice; brothers, Kenny Cunningham (Kim), AR, Marty Cunningham (Rhonda), Raymore, MO, and Don Hunter (Lori), Muskegon, MI; sister, Patricia Breedlove (Daren), AR; sister-in-law, Pam Cunningham, Kansas City, KS; 8 grandchildren, Elijah Cunningham, Wyatt Spence, Grace Spence, Kyndall Cunningham, Braxton Justice, Caiden Justice, Kali Justice, and Kendyl Justice; other extended family, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
