Michael Lee Allen, 73, Adrian, MO, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home.  Services at a later date at the Oquawka Cemetery, Oquawka, Illinois.

Michael was born February 3, 1949 in Burlington, Iowa, a son of Paul D. and Betty L. (Lewis) Allen.  He grew up in Oquawka and attended Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois for two years.  Michael was a U.S. Navy veteran, and had served during the Vietnam War.  He was united in marriage to Mary E. Gorman on February 2, 1974 in Dixon, Illinois.  Michael was a sales manager for pool supply warehouses and had lived in Phoenix, Arizona for 9 years and Lenexa, Kansas for 23 years before moving to Adrian in August, 2021.

Michael worked as a sales manager for Great Plains Supply in Lenexa before retiring in 2018.  He was a member of the National Pool & Spa Association and the Stephens Ministry.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jacqueline.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Allen, of the home; two sons, Christopher Allen and his wife, Valerie, Amsterdam, MO, and Sean Allen and his wife, Elizabeth, Lenexa, KS; and three grandchildren, Adelynn Allen, Isabella Allen, and Grace Allen.
