Michael "Mike" Dwain Ackerley, 78, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed from this life on March 12, 2022. Memorial Visitation will be held at Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. on June 18, 2022 at 1pm followed by a graveside service at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO. at 2pm.

Mike was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 30, 1943, the oldest of two boys to James Melvin and Melvin "Mel" Jane (Moles) Ackerley. He graduated from Riverview Gardens High School in St. Louis, MO. He then attended the University of Missouri obtaining Bachelors and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering. Mike worked as a Professional Engineer, primarily in the petroleum industry, for 40 years in Houston, Tulsa, and Kansas City.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, James Ackerley and his mother, Melvin Jane Hogan. He is survived by his brother, Gary Ackerley (Diana); children: Stephanie Casida (David) and Stephen Ackerley (Lori); grandchildren: Connor Casida (Sierra), Cameron Casida, Nicholas Ackerley, Matthew Ackerley, and Luke Ackerley; and nieces, Brooke and Lauren Ackerley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, Missouri.
