Obituary

Iris "Maxine" England, 78, of Peculiar, Missouri died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at St. Luke's East in Lee's Summit, Missouri. A memorial service was held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at New Hope Christian Church, Belton, Missouri. Burial in Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar, Missouri.

Maxine was born May 14, 1939 in Linn Creek, Missouri to Feryl and Joan (Franklin) Shipman. She was a 1956 graduate of Camdenton High School. On November 24, 1956 she was united in marriage to Ray England. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Belton, Missouri. She loved to crochet and paint.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Judith Myers and Jenny Jo Shipman and one granddaughter, Amanda Branson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ray England of Peculiar, MO; two sons, William England, and wife Susan, of Peculiar, MO and Thomas England of Peculiar, MO; one daughter, Linda Couts, and husband Erick, of Peculiar, MO; one sister, Hazel Parrish of Camdenton, MO; five grandchildren, Angela Nims (David), Robert Branson (Kimberly), Alyssa Cook (Richard), William England II and Tyler Couts (Santana); nine great-grandchildren, Philip, Michael (Stephanie), Christopher (Natalie), Alexander, Kally, Kaitlyn, Aiden, Evan and Brennan; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Amora and Eli.
