Max "Hippie" Gordon Sebert, 18, Peculiar, MO, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Memorial services 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9 at the United Methodist Church, Peculiar. In honor of Max, please wear flip-flops or "hippie" attire. Family will receive friends after the service. Contributions may be made to the Max Gordon Sebert Memorial Fund, Community Bank of Peculiar.
Max was born April 20, 1989 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Kit Gordon and Donna Jean (Thoennes) Sebert. Max was a cub scout as a child. He was a 2007 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. Max was involved in the Art Club at the high school. He was attending Longview Community College under the Missouri A+ Program. Max had worked at Sonic and in construction and was currently working at Applebee's. He was a hardworking kid.
Max was very artistic and loved music. He was a friend to everyone and loved by many.
Max was preceded in death by grandparents, William G. Sebert and Donald Thoennes. Survivors include his father, Kit G. Sebert and wife, Teresa and his mother, Donna J. Sebert, all of Peculiar, MO; brother, Garrett Sebert, Peculiar, MO; step-brother, Josh Lehr, Belton, MO; step-sister, Melissa Karl, Belton, MO; grandparents Grace Sebert, Raymore, MO, Catherine J. Hutson, McAllen, TX and Don and Fern Hendrick, Peculiar, MO; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
