Mary Louise Williams, 89, of Belton, Missouri, died September 12, 2013. A memorial service, along with a tribute to Barney Ricketts, Jr., will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at Park Lawn Chapel in Kansas City, Missouri, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mary was born to Frank and Mamie Houchin on November 28, 1923, in Jefferson City, MO. She graduated high school in Jefferson City and married Marvin Zimmerman who was killed in WWII; she then relocated to Kansas City, MO where she married Alvin Williams.

Mary was employed for many years in the Kansas City area as an interior designer and apartment property manager where she met her partner of over 20 years, Barney Ricketts Jr. She then retired and relocated to Sun City, AZ, prior to returning to Kansas City after Mr. Ricketts' passing. Mary will always be remembered for her helpful, friendly, outgoing personality and a smile for everyone.

Mary is survived by three children, Carolyn Collins (Walt) of Delta, AL; Tom Williams (Pat) of Belton, MO and Cindy Ricketts (John) of Kansas City, KS. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and 2 nieces.
