Mary Lou Stine 92, of Peculiar, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her home in Peculiar.  Services were held Friday, December 2, 2022 at the 1st Church of Peculiar, Peculiar, MO.   Inurnment in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO. Contributions may be made to Caring Hearts of Peculiar.

Mary Lou was born April 1, 1930 in Harrisonville, Missouri, a daughter of Fred and Opal (Williams) VanMeter. A lifelong Cass County resident, Mary Lou lived in Freeman, MO before moving to Peculiar. She was a 1948 graduate of Freeman High School and had worked as an office assistant for the Dodson Insurance Group in Kansas City, MO for 17 years before her retirement in 1991. Mary Lou was a member of the United Methodist Church in Peculiar.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Kevin Stine. She is survived by a daughter, Leann Woody, Peculiar, MO, three grandchildren, Whitney Stine, Cole Stine, Tyler Groh and wife Kelli, a great-grandson, Aiden Coleman, and many other relatives and friends.
