Mary Jane Riemenschneider of Lake Annette, Missouri, passed away peacefully at the age of 104 on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Baptist Homes of Adrian, surrounded by loved ones. Private family burial was held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Hartford Cemetery in Hartford, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Croix Hospice, who provided Mary with unwavering love and care in her final years, or to First Christian Church, located at 400 S. Independence, Harrisonville, MO 64701, where her faithful friends and church family continually offered her love and support.

Born on October 21, 1921, in Trenton, MO, Mary was the daughter of Luis B. and Lelia M. (Wheeldon) Justus. A proud graduate of Carlisle High School in 1939, Mary further pursued her education at Felton & Terrant Comptometer School in Des Moines, Iowa, earning her certification in 1941. She dedicated 34 years of her life to serving as a cost accountant and office manager for Anderson Electric, formerly Brammer Electric, before moving to Youngtown, AZ. Mary retired at the youthful age of 81. Throughout her career, Mary exemplified strength and independence, paving the way for many as a strong and distinguished businesswoman in a time when such roles were less common.

Mary's life was rich with connections and experiences. A devoted member of First Christian Church in Harrisonville, she participated actively in the choir and Sunday School. Her spirit was vibrant and engaging, as she enjoyed long lunches with friends, always lighting up the room with her bright smile, contagious laughter, and witty humor. Mary delighted in her cooking, often hosting gatherings where she prepared her delicious meals, reflecting her deep love for family and friends.

In her later years, after moving to Lake Annette to be closer to her daughter Teri, Mary continued to find joy in her passions. Her cherished grandson, Jacob, brought her immense happiness during his visits and phone calls. Mary had an insatiable love for life, celebrating milestones with family, driving to Iowa for high school reunions well into her 90s, and nurturing her stunning gardens.

Mary will be remembered not only for her countless achievements but also for the love and joy she brought to the lives she touched. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and love for the simple pleasures will remain a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Teri Riemenschneider; three brothers: Louis "Junior", Bill, and George Justus; and her sister, Elizabeth Jenkins. She is survived by her son, Kim Riemenschneider; grandson, Jacob Riemenschneider; sister, Virginia (Robert) King; brother, Jim (Sue) Justus; and numerous nieces and nephews; all of whom will carry forward the warmth and love she so freely shared.
