Mary Cecelia Lucas, 85, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial in Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery in Lee's Summit, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities.

Mary was born on December 11, 1937 to Clifford Avis and Margaret Marie (McGlynn) Diamond in Belton, MO. She spent her career working as an office manager for Bill House Construction Company. Mary co-founded the first chapter of the Foundation for Fighting Blindness - KC Affiliate and served as President for many years. She also enjoyed her time spent as President and Treasure of the Home Owners Association and was a member of Our Lady of Presentation in Lee's Summit, MO. Mary truly cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but enjoyed time with all of her family and friends, especially watching her nephew's bands perform when in town. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Shirley Ann Crafton; her son, Ed Crafton; his brother, James Diamond; and her sister, Olive "Sue" Crook. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lalicker; her grandchildren: Sheri Mickey, DJ Lalicker, and Ricky Lalicker; her great-grandchildren: Ce Mickey, Liz Mickey, and Dom Lalicker; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
