Janie was born February 11, 1950 in Clinton, MO, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Parks) McLain. On May 25, 1968, she entered into a loving marriage with Michael Lee Noland. Janie was a 1968 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She held several jobs over the years, working at Anaconda, GSA Services and her last position with Water District No. 9 in Harrisonville.
Janie had the usual childhood achievements with Campfire, Rainbows and Brownies. More recently she served as a board member at the Harrisonville Sand Greens and volunteered at the Harrisonville Community Center with the Senior Meals program.
She loved her home in the country, working in her flower beds and the large gardens she and Mike had. They enjoyed canning the produce from their gardens and sharing with family and friends. Janie loved quilting, playing golf and traveling. Her love was for her family and her grandchildren were her passion. She tried to never miss a ball game or recital and was always there for them. She will be fondly remembered for her great kindness, her wonderful sense of humor and her warm smile.
Janie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike, of the home; two sons, Doug Noland of Peculiar, MO and Chad Noland and his wife, Elyse, of Osawatomie, KS; her parents, Kenneth and Mary McLain, Harrisonville, MO; one sister, Linda Scott and her husband, Dick, Lee's Summit, MO and four grandchildren, Holly, Dylan, Zack and Katelyn. She will be missed by nephews, nieces, many other family members and friends.
