Mary Evelyn Hodges, 86, Raymore, Missouri, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 10:30-11:00. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri.

Mary was born June 2, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Evan N. and Ruby Vandiver (Larkin) Morgan. She grew up and went to school in Emporia, Kansas, while living with her aunt. She married Arden Ralph Hodges on January 12, 1967 in Archie, Missouri.

Mary was a collector for Watkins Product and Sears in Kansas City, Missouri for a number of years. She had lived in Independence and Lee's Summit, Missouri before moving to Carrollton, Texas where she worked for her brother. She also worked for Associated Finance in Dallas, Texas. She later moved to Raymore where she lived until her death. Mary enjoyed painting with watercolors.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Ruby M. Green and Clay Green and one brother, Evan S. Morgan. She is survived by her husband, Arden, of the home; and one brother-in-law, Hilton Hodges, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
