Mary Ann Cumpton, 56, Mt. Vernon, MO, formerly of Butler, MO, peacefully passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at her home.  Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Adrian United Methodist Church in Adrian, MO.  Burial was held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, MO.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Mary was born October 29, 1962 to Dale and Lillian (Kelly) Smith of Pleasant Hill, MO, who preceded her in death.  Mary was a devoted wife and Christian.  She married the love of her life, Harvey Allen Cumpton, on September 10, 2005.  Her other love was her faithful companion dog Sparky.

Mary loved sharing her faith alongside her husband, by passing out wooden cross necklaces to all who would accept them.  Mary never met a stranger, always wore a smile on her face and had a strong passion to sing.  Her God-given voice was heard by many as she was a volunteer at Heartland Hospice in Butler, MO.  She also sang in several church programs.  Mary looked forward to her yearly trips to Branson for her wedding anniversary.  She was a wonderful cook and always enjoyed eating fried chicken at Walnut Groves Lord Acres Sales.

Mary is survived by her husband, Harvey, of the home; son, Robert Bedford and wife, Erin, and granddaughter, Lilly, of Pleasant Hill, MO; brother, Alan Smith and sister, Linda Johnson of Bates City, MO.

Mary's wishes are for everyone to keep singing for our Lord Jesus Christ and to love one another.
