Mary Lou Adams, 81, Freeman, Missouri, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri, with burial in Glenwild Cemetery, Cleveland, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the Atkinson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Line Christian Church.
Mary was born May 13, 1934 in West Line, Missouri, the daughter of Okie W. and Nova Lytle (Crook) Sanders. She was a 1952 graduate of Freeman High School. She married Elvin "Loy" Adams on August 30, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, making crafts, fishing and camping. She loved watching her grandkids play sports. She was a member of the West Line Christian Church and a former member of the Red Hat Club in Belton, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Sanders, one sister, Betty Brown, and one great-grandson, Cheslie Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Loy, of the home; one son, Gene Adams (Cindy), Cleveland, Missouri; four daughters, Teresa Narducci, Kansas City, Missouri, Cindy Mincks (Steve), Nova Kraft (Johnny), and Sara Boyer, all of Freeman, Missouri; one sister, Donna Farr (Dale), Freeman; 15 grandchildren, Jeromy, Joshua, Amber, Ashley, Kerrie, Mindy, Brigette, Jacob, Zachary, Lane, Chelsie, Taylor, Luke, Mallori, and Blake; 18 great-grandchildren; and a set of twin boys on the way.
