Martha was born March 29, 1925 in Garden City, MO the daughter of Hershel M. and Bertha (DeLozier) Gaston. She married Clarence "David" Warren on June 5, 1945 in Olathe, KS. To this union was born one son, David Wesley Warren.

Martha enjoyed a long and interesting life. She taught at a country school in the 1940's and became a real estate broker in the 1960's. At that time there were only four real estate offices in Harrisonville, those of which were owned by men, and then there was Martha Warren Real Estate. Due to the need for equal opportunity jobs, Mrs. Warren was chosen to work with the legal department of the Missouri Department of Transportation and was given the opportunity to go to appraisal classes and she became, after many hours of classes, a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser. She also worked with many other legal associates and she often appeared in various court rooms as an appraiser. She operated the real estate office until 1981, when she sold the business to Carol Looney and Rene Blackburn and the name was changed to American Heritage. Mrs. Warren was the owner of Martha Warren Appraisers Service until she retired in 2002. She was a long-time member of Garden City Baptist Church. Among her many hobbies, Martha served as a Docent at the Kansas City Zoo for many years.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Warren on November 7, 1980, two brothers, Rev. Albert Gaston and Elmo Gaston and two sisters, Maisie Nelson and Mildred Bills. She is survived by one son, David W. Warren and his wife, Ginger of Mesa, AZ; one grandson, John D. Warren; one granddaughter, Jessica Lishamer and her husband, Jason; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
