Martha Jean (Farr) Tabb, 81, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home, with her family present on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Funeral services were held  on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jerry Tabb Memorial Scholarship Trust.

Martha was born October 2, 1943 in Marshfield, MO, a daughter of Homer McTeer and Eva Lee (Pippin) Farr. The family moved to the Harrisonville area in the early 1950's and Martha attended Brush Creek Rural School #65 in Harrisonville. She lived in Kansas City for a few years, before returning to Harrisonville. She was a 1961 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Martha married the love of her life, Gerald D. Tabb on August 4, 1961, in Harrisonville, and they shared a wonderful 63 years together. Martha was a homemaker and childcare provider, caring for her children; as well as, 54 others. She was very active as a scout leader and VBS director, and frequently volunteered for numerous other roles.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry Tabb; a brother, Lee Roy Farr; and two sisters, Dorothy Henry Welsh and Ruth Reeves. Martha is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Tabb, Harrisonville; a son, Scott (Leslie) Tabb, Shawnee, KS; two daughters: Tresa (Chris) Myler, Pleasant Hill, MO; and Rhonda (Ron) Hedrick, Guatemala; five grandchildren: Michael (Erika) Myler, Kaci (Justin) Kilbane, Jeremiah Hedrick, Alexander Tabb and Andrew Tabb; five great-grandchildren: Rhilynde, Conrad, and Emma Myler, Lucas and Lane Kilbane; as well as, many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
