Martha Lou Bridges, 93, of Adrian, MO, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Butler Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Butler, MO. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. Interment in  Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Martha was born March 6, 1931, to Elmer Wells and Emma Frantz in Geneva, NE. She grew up with her three sisters and went to school at Adrian R3 until she graduated in 1949. On January 29, 1950, Martha married the love of her life, Charlie Oliver Bridges. They lived their married life in Blue Springs, MO; Polo, MO; and for the last 52 years in Adrian, MO, before Charles passed. They had three boys in this union: Martin, Michael, and Rodney. Martha was great with anything string, sewing and especially crotchet, she even won contests with her work.

Martha is preceded in death by her spouse; parents; all of her siblings; and daughters-in-law: Geraldeane V. Bridges and Dianna L. Bridges. She is survived by her sons: Martin Bridges of Grain Valley, MO; Michael (Carolyn) Bridges of Amsterdam, MO; and Rodney Bridges of Adrian, MO; grandchildren: Dana, Angie, Martin Jr., Kathy, Dustin, Mathew, Chris, Evan, Darren, and Austin; 31 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
