Marjorie Juanita (Evans) Guss, 83, Adrian, MO, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home in Adrian, MO. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Urich Cemetery in Urich, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Crude Cross Ministries, c/o Atkinson Funeral Home, P.O. Juanita was born on April 4, 1927 to Ernest & Anna (Gilmore) Evans. She was a member of the Lucas United Methodist Church. Juanita had a wide variety of nicknames including Smurf, Hot Rod, and Shortie. She loved a good joke and to tease others.

Her hobbies included reading and putting together puzzles. Her biggest love was her family. She couldn't wait for the annual family reunion and made sure everyone was reminded of that day for many months preceding it.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Milton and two sons, Ernest and Martin. She is survived by four grandchildren, Dale Guss and wife, Margo of Archie, David Guss of Greenville, South Carolina, Martin Guss, Jr. and wife, Penny of Adrian and Kathy (Guss) Wray and husband, Mike of Garden City; two daughters-in-law, Charlotte Guss of Butler and Linda Guss of Adrian; eight great-grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew.
