Obituary

MARJORIE G. BRAUN, 86, Peculiar, MO, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, MO. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00–6:30 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Private inurnment will be in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar. Marjorie was born November 15, 1921 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of the Werner G. and the Mollie C. (Smith.) Hagemann. She married Jack C. Braun on January 10, 1945 in Kansas City, KS.

Marjorie was a homemaker. She had been a Brownie and Cub Scout leader. She was a member of the Lutheran Missouri Synod. Marjorie was a member of the East Gate Village Garden Club in Peculiar and had served as president.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack on September 22, 1980, an infant daughter, Christine Sue Braun, two brothers, Werner Hagemann, Jr. and Robert G. Hagemann and one sister, Joan Denny. She is survived by one son, Jack C. Braun, Jr., Angleton, TX; one daughter, Kathie A Rafferty and her husband Tom, Boulder, CO; one brother, Mel Hagemann, Prairie Village, KS; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
