Marion Charlene Cooley, 73, of Harrisonville, MO died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Harrisoville. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Charlene was born August 26, 1937 in Plad, MO to Marion "Charlie" Columbus and Fannie Mae (Medley) Rhodelander. Charlene grew up in Plad and graduated from Wendyville, MO school. On October 2, 1956 she was united in marriage to Ralph C. Baker. The family lived in San Diego, CA before moving to Kansas City in 1961.
On April 2, 1979 Charlene married Paul E Cooley in Miami, OK and they lived in Harrisonville, MO until moving to Kansas City, KS in 1982. In 1996 they returned to Harrisonville, MO. Charlene worked in the commercial printing business for 50+ years and was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 142 Belton, MO.
Charlene was preceded in death by an infant son Billy Ranual, her parents in 1988, her husband, Paul on April 24, 2010 and her daughter Marian Lynn on June 9, 2010, sisters, Sharon Enright and Pamalee Taylor and one brother, Donald Rhodelander. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Baker and wife, Pam of Buckner, MO, Rick Baker of Harrisonville and Cody Cooley of Lane, KS; two daughters, Kelly Harrelson and husband, Jim of Clinton, MO and Shelly Carver and husband, Russell of Freeman, MO; two brothers, Sanford Rhodelander of AZ and Dewey Rhodelander of Galt, MO; two sisters, Freida Reed of Bolivar, MO and Sheila Ridenhour of Springfield, MO; an aunt, Wilma Tosatto of Independence, MO; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
