Marguerite Elizabeth Rymer, 85, of Harrisonville, MO, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at her home in Harrisonville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Harrisonville. The family will receive friends Wednesday 1:00-1:45 p.m. at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO.
Marguerite was born May 4, 1924 on the family farm near Peculiar, MO, the daughter of Jesse LeRoy and Lacey Ann (Callaway) Wilson. She was the youngest of three children. Marguerite was united in marriage to Harvey Warren Rymer in February, 1959. She was a Baptist and a member of the Pioneer Club.
Marguerite was a life-long Cass County, MO resident and moved to Harrisonville in 1976. She had worked for Pratt & Whitney during the war and worked as a machinist for AT&T for 27 years before retiring in 1986.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert Wilson and Harold Wilson, and her husband, Harvey, who died March 10, 1984. She is survived by one daughter, Frances Taylor; a stepson, Edward Rymer; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
