Marguerite Louise Hatch, 79, Harrisonville, MO, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. Services 10:00 AM Monday, February 11 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Visitation 3:00-4:30 PM Sunday, February 10 at the chapel. Burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Marguerite was born September 28, 1928 in La Cygne, KS, the daughter of Clifford Whipple and Lena Francis (Russell) Gage. She was a graduate of Drexel High School. Marguerite was united in marriage to Harold Lee "Pete" Hatch on April 12, 1947. They lived on a farm south of Cleveland, MO for 38 years before moving to Harrisonville 12 years ago.
Marguerite had worked for the Department of Agriculture as a numerator, covering several counties in the Kansas City, MO area. She was a member of the Harrisonville First Christian Church and the CWF.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Stephen Hatch. She is survived by her husband, Harold "Pete", of the home; three sons, Stanley "Glen" Hatch, Harrisonville, MO, Donald Lee Hatch, Butler, MO and Robert Keith Hatch, Drexel, MO; three sisters, Roberta Simmons, Lakeland, FL, Phyllis Skolek, Ottawa, IL and Anita Gage, Harrisonville, MO; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
