Margery Christine Clifton, 95, of Adrian, MO, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Medicalodge of Butler in Butler, MO. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023  at the Adrian Christian Church.  Interment in the Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Bates County Industries or Crescent Hill Cemetery.

Margery was born on August 25, 1928 to Clarence Howard and Mary Catherine (Peak) Gallion in Kansas City, MO. She married John Samuel Clifton on February 18, 1950 and to this union they had five children. Raising five children kept her very busy but she still found time to do things she enjoyed like tending her flowers and later making ceramics. Her and John loved to travel and she visited all forty-eight continental states but never made it to Alaska and Hawaii. She was a member of the Rollin Bobin Club in Adrian and a long-time member, who you could faithfully find on Sunday mornings, at Adrian Christian Church. Margery's favorite roll was loving on her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren.

Margery is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Clifton Sr.; and daughters: Patricia "Patti" Clifton and Janette "Christy" Clifton. She is survived by her sons: Danny (Sandy) Clifton of Drexel, MO; and John (Pam) Clifton of Adrian, MO; her daughter, Kimberly (Gerald) Shaffer of Adrian, MO; her grandchildren: Jad (Jeannette) Clifton, Wendy (Dave) Arnold, Amanda (Manny) Talley, Colby (Mica) Clifton, Jessica (Kyle) Wackerman, Justin (Amber) Shaffer; and 13 great-grandchildren.
