Margaret Sue (Overturf) Wolford, 67, Adrian, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 5th, 2013 in her home. Susie was born March 22, 1946 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Winfred and Thelma (Burris) Overturf. Funeral service Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian with burial in Clearfork Cemetery, Garden City, MO. Visitation from noon until 1:00 on Tuesday. Memorial contributions to the Margaret Wolford Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
Susie was married February 9, 1972 to Clayton Eldon "Pete" Wolford in Bakersfield, California. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, baking, drinking coffee, and trying new things. She would accomplish most anything she set her mind to. Susie enjoyed playing lottery and spending time at "the boats". She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Susie was mom to many and "Nana" to more. Most importantly Susie grew very close to the Lord and loved him dearly. Susie will be missed dearly by many and will remain in our hearts forever.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents Winfred and Thelma Overturf, step-father Ray "Short" Adams, two sisters, Maxine Kruschek and Rhonda Kennedy, two brothers Jay and Joe Overturf, two sons, Eldon and George Wolford, and son-in-law Tracy Parks. Susie is survived by her husband, Pete of the home, children Jeffrey Overturf and wife Tonya, Bella Vista Arkansas, Virginia Nelson, and husband Doug, Adrian, Clayton L. Wolford and wife Kelly, Adrian, Neva "Sue" Nelson and husband Steve, Adrian, Phillip Eskew and wife Pat, Independence, Missouri, Michelle Parks, Kansas City, Kansas, David Wolford, Adrian, and Tiffany Turner, Butler, Missouri; sister Dorothy Wolford and husband Buck, Adrian, brother Clifford Overturf and wife Candy, Kansas City, Kansas, brother Garry Overturf, Kansas City, Kansas; 26 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, and family and friends.
