Margaret DaLone "Loney" Huston, 78, Harrisonville, MO, formerly of Macon, MO, passed away January 28, 2010 in Harrisonville after a three-month battle with small cell lung cancer.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2 at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville. Loney was born on August 26, 1931, at Macon, MO, to Alford B. and Ethel Florence (Andrews) Christianson of Ardmore, MO. On January 30, 1953, she was united in marriage to John Robert Huston in Excelsior Springs, MO. Loney graduated from Macon High School in 1949. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4409 and was a den mother for Cub Scouts Den 1, Pack 3.
Loney especially enjoyed mushroom hunting and playing pitch on Friday nights. She was an excellent cook and was well-known in the area for her huge garden and abundant tomatoes. She was a very devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, granny, great-grandmother and friend. Her spunk and determined spirit will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, her parents, her brother, Alford Francis and infant sister, Angie Lina. She is survived by three sons, John L. and wife Kathy, Harrisonville, twins, Bill A. and wife Daneen, Santa Teresa NM, and Bob D. and wife Jodie, Harrisonville; two granddaughters, Kailey and Abbey; four step grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Stuck, Macon, MO and a very special card-playing friend, Jeanne Baker.
