Obituary

Mable L. Heckenlively, 95,Peculiar, Missouri, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her home in Peculiar, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 4:30pm Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville,Mo. The family will receive friends 3:30-4:30pm Monday at the chapel. An additional funeral will be held 10:30am Wednesday, February 24, at the McLaughlin Funeral Home in Clay Center, Nebraska. Burial in the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield, Nebraska. contributions to American Cancer Association.

Mable was born February 13, 1915 on a farm NW of Fairbury, Nebraska, the daughter of Jesse Clayton and Maggie (White) Shultz.
She grew up in the Fairfield, Neb. area and was a 1933 graduate of Fairfield High School. She was united in marriage to Harold (Andy) L. Heckenlively on August 12, 1940 in Fairfield. She was a homemaker until 1971 when she went to work in Hastings, Nebraska at the Good Samaritan Village. She retired from Good Samaritan Village in 1980 and resided in Hastings until moving to Peculiar, Missouri in 1997. She was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Harold (Andy) in 1993; three brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Rex Heckenlively and his wife Jeanette, Imperial, NE, and a daughter, Andrea Burgin, and husband Earl (Tom) ,Peculiar, MO; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, & numerous nieces and nephews.
