Lyle J. "Jim" Carr, 80 of Harrisonville, MO, Formerly of O'Neill, NE, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.  Private memorial services will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Jim was born November 26, 1939 in O'Neill, NE to Hugh and Margaret (Holcomb) Carr.  He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1959.  Jim married Pauline Mahony on June 15, 1968 and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.  They had three children, Sean, Kara and Erin.

Jim belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  Jim was an avid golfer; however, he was best known for his quick wit and jovial sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed.

Jim is survived by their three children, Sean (Kellie) Carr, Lee's Summit, MO, Kara (Michael) Stephens, Cleveland, MO, and Erin (Shane) Mercer, Harrisonville, MO.  They also had six grandchildren that brought them much joy: Chandler and Logan Stephens, Tanner and Cayden Carr, and Emily and Hailey Mercer.  Jim is also survived by two brothers, Darrel and Patrick Carr, a sister, Sharon Roach, and numerous nieces and nephews.
