Luvina M. Wilson, 97, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.
Luvina was born October 19, 1919 in Moundville, MO, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Shackleford) Semler. She married Leonard Wilson on December 7, 1962. Luvina had lived in Raymore, Missouri and Freeman, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2005. She had worked for Sunshine Biscuit and Lake City Arsenal from 1961-1968. She was also an accomplished homemaker and seamstress. She was a great cook and especially loved baking pies.
Luvina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leonard on June 25, 1994. She is survived by two sons, Fred Scott and wife, Barbara, and Larry Scott and wife, Darlene, all of Freeman, MO; two daughters, Claudine Brown and husband, Roger, Cole Camp, MO and Sauna Boydston and husband, Ron, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
