Luther Van Doozer Bolton, Jr., 77, Harrisonville, MO, formerly of Bloomfield, MO, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Church of the Nazarene in Harrisonville.  Inurnment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at a later date.

Luther was born April 12, 1944 in Kansas City, KS, a son of Luther Van Doozer and Lona Irene (Isaac) Bolton, Sr.  He grew up in Nevada, MO.  He was a U. S. Army veteran.  Luther married Mary Foote on January 28, 1972.  He was an over the road truck driver for 27 years before retiring in April, 2013 from Pullem Bros.  Luther was an adventurer.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and "getting away".

Luther was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings:  Annie, Peggy, Jessie, Marvin, Richard and Bob.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Bolton, of the home; one brother, Bill Bolton, Butler, MO; one sister, Nina Bolton, Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
