Luella Dodson, 91, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Byler Cemetery in Creighton, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Luella was born July 21, 1923 in Dayton, Missouri, the daughter of William Jackson and Lois (Kimble) Coleman. She attended Garden City and Creighton School and graduated from high school in Adrian, Missouri. Luella had lived in Archie, Belton, Appleton City, and Harrisonville. She married Leonard Leroy Dodson in 1979 at the Harrisonville First Christian Church. Luella had worked as a cook at Beulah's Restaurant and Berry's Restaurant in Harrisonville. She retired in 1983 from Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville, where she had worked as a cook for 18 years.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard on February 28, 2001, two sons, William and Milton Siegenthaler, two brothers, Milton and Clarence Coleman and two sisters, Ruth and Ellen. She is survived by one son, Steven Siegenthaler, Freeman, Missouri; one daughter, Monda Harris, Appleton City, Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
