Lucy Pearl Felarski, 86, of Harrisonville, Missouri, died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 27 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Archie, Missouri. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Lucy was born on October 15, 1927 in Barton County, Missouri to Stanley and Lucy Mae (Berquine) Mitts. As the second of eight children, Lucy was the oldest daughter of the six girls. Lucy married Raymond D. Felarski on June 18, 1949. She gave birth to their only child, Deborah A. Felarski on April 14, 1960.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lucy Mae Mitts, her husband, Raymond D. Felarski, her brothers, Stanley and Bill Mitts, and her sisters, Creda Unertle, Lurlene David, and Myrle Mitts. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Mason and son-in-law, Garry Mason; three granddaughters, Amanda Kabir, Emily Mason, and Jesse Mason, and a grandson-in-law, Rumy Kabir. She is also survived by two sisters, June Gray and Louise Farmer.

Lucy Pearl was a true example of what it means to love another person. She had a beautiful sense of humor and a compassionate heart. She always put everyone else's happiness before her own. She had the privilege of living with her daughter, Debbie , and son-in-law Garry, all her life and constantly spoke of how blessed she was to be surrounded by family and watch her granddaughters grow up before her eyes. Lucy will be sincerely missed by family and the uncountable number of friends who she crossed paths with in life.
