Lucile E. Rittenberry, 89, of Harrisonville, Missouri, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday at Atkinson Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation.

Lucile was born October 20, 1924 in Lake View, Iowa, a daughter of Leo B. and Caroline (Jensen) Waddell. On September 7, 1948 Lucile was united in marriage to Jiggs William Rittenberry in Clay County, Arkansas. They made their home in Caruthersville, Missouri before moving to Archie, Missouri in 1990. After Jiggs' death on July 25, 1992 Lucile moved to Oklahoma. She moved to Harrisonville in 2010. Lucile worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Caruthersville for over 20 years before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jiggs and a daughter, Sherrilyn Quinn in 1994. Lucille is survived by a son, Terry Waddell, Rose Hill, Kansas; three daughters, Cathy Turnbow, Jackson, Tennessee, Vicky Keefer, Garden City, Missouri, and Linda Walden, Floresville, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandaughter.
