Loueva Ullery 91, Peculiar, Missouri, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, Missouri, where she had resided for several years. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Peculiar in Peculiar, Missouri. Burial will be in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Contributions may be made to the church in Loueva's memory.
Loueva was born on January 29, 1922 in Mundell, Arkansas, the youngest daughter of William and Mary Winifred (Butler) Knox. She married Edward C. Ullery on December 30, 1946. At the time of the marriage, Edward was the father of Janice Elaine and Edith Marie. Edward died in 2003 and Edith Marie died in 2006. After working alongside Ed for decades in the Peculiar Lumber and Hardware, they devoted many years as treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Peculiar. They were also custodians of the church for many years.
She is preceded in death by all of her siblings, Stella Hyatt, Dave Knox, Flossie Morris, Lula Redwine, Wilma Nasalroad, Thelma Keller, Everett Knox, Robert Knox and Howard Knox. Loueva is survived by her step daughter, Janice (Earl Eugene) Stair of Monroeville, Pennsylvaina and by Edith Marie's husband, Marvin (Sandra) Keller of Poudre Canyon, Rustic, Colorado. She also leaves five adored grandchildren, Kathy Kellman, Kristy Ann (Michael) Novak, Kelly (Robert) Fletcher, David Keller and Paul (Irene) Keller. There are great-grandchildren who will forever remember her as a happy, cheerful Nanaw; they are Kristopher and Todd Kellman, Elizabeth Lilley, Nicole Marie Novak, Michael A. Novak III, Justin, Jamie and Kiley Fletcher and Courtney and Whitney Keller.
Kay Jean and Dean Oldham have been wonderfully attentive to her Aunt Loueva, and have been a large part of her life, treating her and Ed with TLC. Many nieces and nephews survive, with a
multitude of friends, who were so faithful to visit her frequently in years past.
