Lois H. McGee, 87, Garden City, MO, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at a later date.

Lois was born December 10, 1921 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Louis Henry and Theresa Marie (Richstatter) Abeln. Lois grew up in Salisbury, MO and was a citizen of the Potawatomi Nation. She later moved to Archie, MO before moving to Garden City in 2003.


Lois was preceded in death by three sons, Louis Claude Repine, Linden Morton Wayman and Lynn Henry Wayman, one daughter, Loraine Theresa Wayman, two sisters, Mayme Josephine Spring and Katherine Widmer. She is survived by two sons, Larry Guy Wayman and Lorne Gene Wayman, both of Garden City, MO; one daughter, Loretta Ann Porter, Garden City, MO; one sister, Anna May Comadoll, Loves Park, Illinois; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
