Linda Faye Franks, 53, Raytown, MO, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO, after a very long battle of numerous illnesses. She had complete kidney failure at age 16.
Services 2:30 PM Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Adrian, MO. Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, February 16 at the chapel. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Contributions to National Kidney Foundation or Muscular Dystrophy.
Linda was born December 25, 1954 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Henry and Wilma (Rush) Martens. She had worked for CFM Distributors for 29 years. She enjoyed her work. She also loved teddy bears, all sports (especially the Chiefs) and her nieces and nephews, who she considered her adopted children.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, one nephew, David Moore and paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Keith, and her faithful companion, Boomer II, Raytown, MO; her mother, Wilma Martens, Adrian, MO; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Larry McMullin, Blue Springs, MO, Betty and Gary Nichol, Archie, MO and Diana and Don Moore, Barnett, MO; four nieces, one nephew, six great-nieces and nephews, one great-great-niece, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
