Obituary
Leslie (Les) Smith, 80, Adrian, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Willow Lane Nursing Home in Butler, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ballard, Missouri. The family requests all contributions be donated to The Alzheimer's Association.
Les was born May 25, 1933 in Craig, Nebraska, the son of Garnet and Hazel (Method) Smith. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a production worker at Western Electric until he became disabled.
Les was preceded in death by his parents, Garnet and Hazel Smith. He leaves behind a cousin, Opal Lofdahl of Tekemah, Nebraska; best friend, Ken Kendrick of Adrian, Missouri; Kathy Puhr and family of Lamar, Missouri; Colleen Dawn and family and Teresa and Gordon Malone and family, all of Appleton City, Missouri.
