Obituary

Leslie "Sue" Anderson, 73, of Adrian, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at her home. A Celebration of life was held, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Adrian Optimist Building.

Sue Anderson was born January 17, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Clyde L. Moles and Virginia L. (Ackerley) Moles and had one brother, Neal. Virginia married James "Jim" Ferguson in 1966, and Sue gained two brothers, Jimmy and Fenton Ferguson. She grew up in the Adrian area and graduated from Adrian High School in 1970. She worked various jobs with the Internal Revenue Service over the years she worked there, and she retired in 2014. Sue was a loving mother to her five children, Brent, Amy, Robert, Brianne, and Tabetha. In May 1991, she married Kenneth Anderson in Nevada, Missouri. Together, they loved going fishing and taking trips to Truman Lake with Jim and Virginia to fish for crappie and spend time camping. They held season tickets at Mizzou for years, and Sue loved supporting the Adrian Blackhawks throughout the years. One of her favorite pastimes was watching Jeopardy and exercising her vast knowledge.

Sue Anderson is preceded in death by her father, Clyde Moles; her mother, Virginia Ferguson; stepfather Jim Ferguson; and brother, Neal Moles. She is survived by husband Kenneth Anderson; children: Brent Hocker, Amy (Shawn) Shipley, Robert (Tara) Anderson, Brianne Miller, Tabetha (Gene) Baker; brothers: Jimmy Ferguson and Fenton Ferguson; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and many nephews and nieces.
