Obituary
James "Leroy" Powell, 48 of Archie, MO died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, MO.
Leroy was born August 4, 1962 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, the son of James Leroy and Mary Jane (Dewess) Phillips. He had lived in Peculiar, MO most of his life. He worked in construction remodeling homes.
James was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly. He is survived by three brothers, Kennard Powell of Two Rivers, WI, Herbert Powell of Quinlan, TX and David Powell of Adrian, MO; two sisters, Deanna Powell of Peculiar, MO and Laura J. Crigger of Peculiar, MO and eight nieces and nephews.
