Leroy Goodman Fisher, 79, Archie, MO, died Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home.  Funeral services were held  Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie.   Burial  in Austin Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Austin Cemetery Association.

Leroy was born March 13, 1939 in Piedmont, Oklahoma, the son of William Franklin and Anna Alma (Henry) Fisher.  He grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Austin 65 years ago.  Leroy married Geraldine Thomas on May 3, 1957 in Austin at the Austin Baptist Church parsonage.  Leroy worked at Acme Brick in Harrisonville 14 years before going to work at Honeywell.  He worked in maintenance and in the sand blasting department for 31 years before retiring in 2001.  He was a member of the Austin Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Chris Moore, four brothers, Henry Fisher, Turk Courtney, Wick Fisher and George Fisher, five sisters, Sarah Pride, Flossie Wever, Anna Lee Woods, Mary Newsome, and Carilla Sisk.  Leroy is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of the home; one son, Rusty Fisher (Christine), Archie; one daughter, Brenda Williams (Stephen), Archie; three grandchildren, Joseph Russell Fisher (Valerie), Rusty Fisher, Jr., and Harry Clifford Moore (Elizabeth); three great-grandchildren, Serina Wimsatt (Damon), Nathanial and Charlie Fisher; and one special granddaughter, Jennifer Prewett.

Leroy loved fishing, attending the grandkids' sports, and most of all, spending time with family.  He liked a good game of dominoes, checkers, or board games played with the grandkids.  Leroy was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed.
