Lenora Ann Jewell, 59, Grandview, MO, formerly of Peculiar, MO, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville.

Lenora was born June 15, 1952 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry Leslie and Geraldine Agatha (Christian) Jones. She married Wilbur Dean Jewell on August 24, 1968. She had lived in Peculiar, MO most of her life.

Lenora was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church in Belton, MO. She was a homemaker and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilbur, on August 22, 2003 and one great-grandchild. She is survived by one son, Willie Jewell, Independence, MO; two daughters, Geraldine Dena Jewell-Simental, Independence, MO and Margie Todd, Lee's Summit, MO; one brother, Bobby Jones, Peculiar, MO; four sisters, Judy Turntine, Grandview, MO, Tina Heard, Rich Hill, MO, Ersie Witmer, Peculiar, MO and Gina Edmondson, Peculiar, MO; 17 grandchildren and several great nieces and nephews.
