Lee Roy Farr, 72, Harrisonville, MO, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Golden Years Care Center, Harrisonville. Funeral services 7:00 PM Monday, June 18 at Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Visitation 6:00-7:00 PM Monday at the chapel. Graveside services 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 19 at Marshfield Cemetery, Marshfield, MO. Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Cleveland Baptist Church.

Lee Roy was born April 11, 1935 in Marshfield, MO, the son of Homer McTeer and Eva Lee (Pippin) Farr. He moved to Harrisonville in 1950. Lee Roy enjoyed fishing and listening to music on the radio, mostly gospel and country music and was a big Johnny Cash fan. He played the guitar and the harmonica and played along with any music he heard. He also enjoyed playing baseball when he was younger. Lee Roy enjoyed drawing. He could look at any picture and draw almost anything and loved to give his drawings to anyone who asked for one. He liked helping people. He was a hard worker and a generous person. Lee Roy was quite the gardener and loved flowers. He was known for his green thumb. He worked for Casco Workshop and the Senior Citizens in Harrisonville. He never knew a stranger and was good to older people and took care of his parents for many years when they got ill.

Lee Roy was a member of Westside Baptist Church that was changed to Abiding Love. He moved to Peculiar several years ago where he lived until moving to Golden Years in August, 2006.

Lee Roy is survived by three sisters, Martha Tabb and Ruth Reeves, both of Harrisonville, MO and Dorothy Welsh, Butler, MO.
