Leah Roberta Lacy, 83, Raymore, MO, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Foxwood Springs Senior Living Center in Raymore. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Raymore Christian Church, Raymore, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or Fellowship of John at Foxwood Springs Senior Living Center.
Leah was born October 14, 1927 in West Line, MO, the daughter of Robert Claude and Gladys Lucille (Smith) Richardson. Leah married Richard Clark "R. C." Lacy on November 28, 1946. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing bridge and cooking.
Leah was a loyal, lifelong member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church. She sang in the church choir and was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF). She was a member of the Pilot Club and Gourmet Club in Jacksonville, IL and the Chatauqua Club in Bloomfield, IA. She enjoyed working at the Barton W. Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville, IL and was the secretary to the director. Leah was a volunteer "Pink Lady" at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO.
Leah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, R. C. on May 12, 2010, an infant brother and one infant grandson. She is survived by three daughters, Pamela Fultz, North Liberty, IA, Gayla Nickel and her husband, Dave, Reno, NV and Sarah Green and her husband, Steven, Blue Springs, MO; one sister, Maxine Farr and her husband, Robert, Harrisonville, MO; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.
