Lawrence Verl Lowe, 74, of Buffalo, MO (formerly of Archie, MO), passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at his home in Buffalo. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, followed by interment, with military honors, at Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Ronald McDonald House or Wounded Warriors Project.
Lawrence was born on July 30, 1949 in Crestview, Florida. Lawrence, a Godly man, known for his generosity and willingness to help others, was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid coon hunter who mentored many young boys in the craft. He would haul them and the dogs all over the USA to hunts. His love for gardening, watching westerns, especially those featuring John Wayne, and listening to classic country music brought him immense joy. Lawrence was described as kind, outgoing, and funny. He proudly served in the Navy and had a successful career in construction, specializing in drywall.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lowe, and his mother, Betty Lowe. He is survived by his children: Deedra Lowe, Kasie Williams, Leah Heagerty; his grandchildren: Shaylei Odom, Savanna Rudloff, Wyatt Cook, Keegan Dowling, Madison Kozlowski, Elijah Heagerty, Aliyah Heagerty, and Issah Heagerty; and 8 great-grandchildren.
