LaVerne Shepherd, 92, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. No services are scheduled.
LaVerne was born January 21, 1922 in Urich, Missouri, the daughter of Ernest A. and Goldie Thurston (May) Allen. LaVerne had worked for Western Electric in Lee's Summit, Missouri, for 20 years, retiring as a supervisor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe on March 8, 1991. LaVerne is survived by one son, Joe Shepherd, Warsaw, Missouri; two daughters, Becky Cameron, Harrisonville, and Cindy Lees, Belton, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
